HalfKeyboard · last updated on 9 August 2026
HalfKeyboard does not ask for full access (in iOS this is called "Allow Full Access"). That's not a promise but a technical boundary: without that permission, a keyboard extension on iOS can't make a network connection at all. Everything you type is delivered by the operating system to the app you're typing in, and goes nowhere else.
Only your own preferences, and only on your device:
This data lives in the app's storage on your device. It isn't synced, isn't backed up to us, and isn't shared. Delete the app and it's gone.
Word suggestions come from a word list built into the app. Nothing you type is looked up, sent or remembered: suggestions are calculated on the spot and then forgotten.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
If anything about this changes, this policy will be updated and the date at the top will move. A material change will also be mentioned in the release notes of the corresponding version in the App Store.
